As much as we talk about the world peace, this issue is being like a more challenging day by day to the world community. The terrorist plot over the several aircrafts in London on August 10 is one of the latest examples.
There had been disrupted another such kind of terrorist plot in Chicago on June 22 that had targeted the 110-story Sears Tower. We can't forget the resent Mumbai train bombings of July 11 as well. September 11 of 2001 was one of the deadliest days in world history and 7 July 2005 remained the most brutal day for the Londoners.
Though efforts against terrorism are ongoing, terrorist activities also are occurring in world. All these scenarios have shown that the world is being unsafe from terrorism day by day but what can world community do to get rid of all those kinds of misdeeds? Now terrorism is not even an issue of any single country. It's also not in a certain place as well. So, to tackle against the terrorism, world's collective effort is mostly essential.
Terrorists have been targeting especially in mega cities; there transport systems and tallest towers. Security systems of those places must be highly activated and updated. Besides strong detective system, modern measures also should be adopted against terrorism and its kinds. The world needs to be developing modern kinds of technologies against the different kind of weapons in different forms. Most of the world places especially airports are still holding old security-check measures, they should be adopted modern ones. Since security personals and their systems couldn't be reached everywhere, every body and every civilian should aware for their own security.
After the attacks over twin towers in September 11, the issues of word terror and world peace erupted simultaneously. Though United States and United Kingdom announced themselves as leaders against world terrorism, their efforts are still not seen enough for the purpose. Osama bin Laden and his organization All-Qaeda are still in existence. It's not only a matter of Osama and his organization as well. There are so many such terrorists and their organizations that remain the challenges and threats over the world peace. So the world community should think of anti terror measures.
The situations of Middle East, Iraq, Kashmir, Sri Lanka are also not in the favor of world peace. In the case of ongoing Israel and Lebanon war, United States' deeds are criticized. Misunderstandings between Iran and United States are also threatening the world peace. Arab and Muslim world are not satisfied from the east world. These are the very challenging and critical issues over world peace. UN role can be effective for the world peace and world body should make itself more strong and fair in decision-making system as well.
